Good afternoon, I am Dr Ruff, thank you for contacting us today
Are you able to provide a photo of this please?
What have you tried for the pimples so far?
Can I also ask your age and if you are male or female?
Are you able to attach a photo?
Thanks. So unfortunately acne can have an effect any time. And I suggest this is what has caused the spots. It doesn't mean that it will be widespread though and certainly a hormonal element to it.
Initially I would use something like Benzoyl Peroxide to dry them out and break the cycle. If that doesn't make much difference I would add in a topical retinoid to apply at night. The Peroxide is widely available but the Retinoids you can get from companies such as Medik8 and La Roche.
If it continues despite this you can add in a topical antibiotic.
Yes, it is often a gel.
Face wash, yes, but it doesn't matter which one. Clinique have some good clearning products.
