Hi, I have a question about something on my back. Last year I noticed a black dot with skin around it becoming bigger. Due to covid I couldn't go and see GP, they asked me to send them a photo. The doctor said it was blocked blackhead from the photos. At the moment this area is becoming bigger and is pretty hard, so just wondering if this is something to worry about or to just leave it? Thanks
JA: How long have you had the blackhead? Do you have a cough, fever, or shortness of breath?
Customer: For a year I believe. No, don't have any above
JA: The Dermatologist will be able to answer that. Where are you located? How widespread is COVID-19 in your area?
Customer: In Manchester, UK.
JA: Thank you so much for your time. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history you think the Dermatologist should know?
Customer: No, I don't think so

Is there something I can do to get rid of it?

It needs to be excised if it becomes painful or bigger.

You can apply over the counter Benzoyl peroxide 10% cream daily --may help to shrink it.
