I have open wounds post lymphoedema. can anything be done

Customer Question

i have open wounds post lymphoedema. can anything be done please, to stop them weeping?
JA: What are all your symptoms? Are you taking any medication?
Customer: co codamol and morphine for the agonising burning pain. plasters to stop the leaking, which just carries on, day to day. doxycycline for any infection. steroid cream but not to use on the wound itself; as the wound seems to be at the back of my leg, its a bit tricky to know where to apply that.
JA: Got it. Have you seen a dermatologist about the burn?
Customer: no (its a burning sensation, not a burn as such)
JA: Thank you so much for your time. Finally, is there anything else in your medical history you think the Dermatologist should know?
Customer: noCustomer: Chat is completed

Unna boot type dressing will hep to let them heal over time.

An Unna Boot is gauze dressing filled with Zinc paste. You may also hear it called a “soft cast”. It supports vascular problems, helps with healing leg ulcers, swelling or lymphedema by giving compression to the areas that are wrapped.
