Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Please tell me what the situation is, in which you got that error message about the file cannot be imported. I would guess it is in an Apple computer context, but give me the details, please....
- What device (maker and model) was attached to your computer,
- What MAC OS X version is on your computer,
- What program you were using, to do what, when that error occurred.

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

I plugged the cannon eos m into my apple mac book pro.

The camera 'sends' the photo's to the mac, but when I request 'import photo's' the file is unrecognised.

I am wondering if someone has messed with my camera - changed a setting?

Expert:  Russell H. replied 4 years ago.
Do you usually take your pictures as CR2 format ?

If not, then a setting on the camera might have changed, and you could change it.

If you think that is what the problem is, I will be able to advise you. Let me know. Thanks.
