I went to change the timing of the slide show in ImageBrowser

Customer Question

I went to change the timing of the slide show in ImageBrowser EX (recently updated on my MacBook Pro) and the manual says click on 'View'. The only option showing at the moment is 'Window'. How do I get 'view' ?

Hello my name is Freddy. I look forward to assisting and am very sorry to hear that you are having this problem.
It sounds like you may have the windows manual and not the one based on mac, as the view menu is at the top on windows.
Here is the manual for the Mac version of this software: Click Here

If this did not work, please come back and let me know what happened when you tried it by clicking on reply to expert so we can continue.
If it did work, please don’t forget to leave a positive rating - it is greatly appreciated.

Hi Freddy

This is a different manual, but the relevant section says the same thing;

"First, you need to specify how to run the slide show, as follows: On the [View] menu, click [Slide Show Options] to set up the options."

As mentioned before there is only a "Window" option next to the Title, top left.

The version of ImageBrowser EX is I think this is new and this may be a bug?? I went onto the website and it says that ImageBrowser is not supported in OSX 9 (Maverick), however it adds the following :

"1.4.0 will be released via AutoUpdate in late November 2013". Clearly this part of the website has not been updated.

I suspect I will have to live with this for the time being, and/or report this as a bug to Canon (somehow?).

After typing the above I went back to ImageBrowser and found how to do it !!!! Once a slide show starts, in the 'options' that appear at the bottom of the page (i.e. pause, back, forward, end, etc.) there is a 'cog like' option. I clicked on this and low and behold you can change the time of each picture slide using a slider. Pity the manual does not match the software !!!

Sorry to have troubled you with this. I may have found it in due course, once I stopped banging my head on the wall !!
