Printer MG5250 Shows Printer error has occurred Ref B200
Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. There may be several causes and several solutions to that error code. One of the eventualities would be, to decide whether to have the printer service-repaired, or replaced (and hopefully, recycled.) But we haven't gotten to that point yet. Here's some things to try for a start: - turn it Off. Unplug it from the power. Leave that way for over an hour (to cool down and reset.) Then try it again. - open and look for obstructions in the interior where the carriage travels back and forth, or loose parts, etc. Remove any found.- open and remove one cartridge, then replace it firmly in place. Then remove, replace similarly the next cartridge (one at a time in other words, and so down the line.) Then close and try again. What happens? I'll have more advice if that doesn't work. (How old is the printer? measured from date of original purchase.)

Printer off about 5 hrs - error still shown on retrying.
When opened carriage not responding - stuck R/H side.
Moved carriage manually to check cartridges -all seem ok and carriage completed normal move after to eventually park R/H side, but attempted print out brings up error message & apparently no movement of carriage.
I think printer is around 6 years old.
It sounds as if it may have reached the end of its useful lifetime - 6 years is a good long time for this type of printer to work. Look at the interior of the printer: is there much dust or dirt inside, even just in corners?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.
There is dust evident. Have thought of using hair dryer on cold but think it will only disperse more widely.
Seems should reinvest in another printer?
Do not use a hair dryer, nor a blower.(If you would rather replace the printer at this point, by all means do.)Proper cleaning would be done by wiping the dust out with a disposable lint-free rag cloth.

Thanks, ***** ***** dusting & if fails will have to replace. Any recommendations?
Do you have any stock of unused ink cartridges? then buying a printer that uses them may save you considerable money on ink costs.
