I bought a Canon Powershot S3 IS 6mp digital camera in 2006

Customer Question

I bought a Canon Powershot S3 IS 6mp digital camera in 2006 and have been extremely happy with the results achieved. However in the last 3 months it appears to have some picture quality issue.
Pictures have always been sharp but now they seem to suffer from quality in low light and when using the zoom. Macro and super macro are still OK
I'm not sure of the technical term but pictures are showing that for solid colours they are made up more of individual colours (dots) - not pixalated.
Sorry if this is vague but best explanation I can give.
Batteries are charged OK and lense is clean. Pictures taken on 'P' setting which is my default setting.
Your suggestions would be appreciated

Hi there Terry and welcome

As the first step, can you change the memory card in the camera and with the new memory card, take a photo.

Tell me how it then appears please.
