My Canon 5D mk 3 has started to display the red access lamp on a permanent basis. Is there a fix I can perform?

Hi Graham. Welcome to justanswer.

If you have another memory card then try replacing it with the one inside the camera. If you don't have any then format the memory card being used and then try.

I have tried various cards in both slots and the problem persists unfortunately.

Try doing a factory reset.

  • Press the MENU button
  • Press the [Q] button and select the SETUP tab
  • Scroll the dial to select the SETUP 4 tab
  • Highlight the “Clear all camera settings” and press SET button
  • When the display ask you, select OK and press SET button

Unfortunately that didn't work either.

Try replacing the clock battery.

I can do that ok, thank you, ***** ***** find out what type to order. Lust need to wait for the battery which is now ordered and when I get it is up to the post office. Thanks for the suggestions so far.
