Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your camera control question.

You can control a PowerShot camera from a Windows PC type computer, if you use, e.g., this special software:

https://www.breezesys.com/PSRemote/

or perhaps CameraWindow will provide that function (I'm not so sure it would, but it is available free from Canon UK's site, here:

https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/cameras/digital_compact/powershot_sx_series/powershot_sx220_hs.aspx?type=download&language=&os=WINDOWS%208.1%20(64-bit)

if you select your computer's Windows version first.)
