Hi there and welcome

Do you mean you cannot find the option to make a movie with the camera?

Please let me know

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
no I mean that in the menu there are no movie settings
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
no live view menu
Customer: replied 9 months ago.
i am in manual mode
Expert:  Richard replied 9 months ago.

yes that is correct, all movie settings are done via the dial, not in the menu.

If you click on my link below

You can see on page 218 how to get to all options for shooting a movie

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
i've read the manual already thanks - that's not what I'm looking for. - this is what I mean
These five menu pages (Shooting Menu 1 through Shooting Menu 5) are dedicated to shooting settings, including image quality, mirror lockup, ISO speed settings, Auto Lighting Optimizer, and Picture Style. Live View and Movie modes each have their own dedicated Shooting menu.
Expert:  Richard replied 9 months ago.

Correct, but they are not in the actual menu, you access them via the dial on the camera.

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
how does this description work then?
First – set your camera to Manual.Go into Menus. Scroll over to the second icon that looks like a wrench. From there go into the Live View Menu, make sure to choose "Movie+Stills" and also make sure that you have selected "Movie Display." This enables your live view for video recording.Next scroll down to the "Movie Record Size" and make sure you have this set to "1920×1080 24p." Now you are recording your movies in full HD at a digital frame rate most similar to that of film.
Expert:  Richard replied 9 months ago.

So you want to know how to record in Full HD on the camera?

Customer: replied 9 months ago.
NO I want to know why I don't have that option - that window in my menu! I have it on my mk 11 and everything I've read says it should be there on my mk 111 but it's not
Expert:  Richard replied 9 months ago.

ok, sorry I am not understanding then what it is you require from me.

I will opt out for another expert that may be able to work with your better

Thank you

Hi there - is anyone able to answer this?
Expert:  Nicola-mod replied 9 months ago.
It seems the professional has left this conversation. This happens occasionally, and it's usually because the professional thinks that someone else might be a better match for your question. I've been working hard to find a new professional to assist you with your question, but sometimes finding the right professional can take a little longer than expected.
I wonder whether you're OK with continuing to wait for an answer. If you are, please let me know and I will continue my search. If not, feel free to let me know and I will cancel this question for you.
Thank you!
