Hello Coleen, I'm Dr. Deb and I'll do my best to help you today.

Tea does contain caffeine and dogs appear to be more sensitive to the effects of caffeine than people.
While a small amount of tea...1-2 laps..will not contain enough caffeine to cause a toxic reaction or poisoning in most pets, the ingestion of moderate amounts could be concerning, especially for the smaller dogs.

It's probably best to substitute another treat for him during tea time and avoid the possibility of him ingesting too much tea at one time.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the rating; it's greatly appreciated.

I hope Rosco won't be too upset with me if you stop allowing him to drink your tea but it really is for the best.
