Customer Question

My dog is a 5 year old lurcher, for over a year now once every couple of months she vomits for a couple of days about twice a day mainly yellow bile, or brown smooth mucus type vomit, she never appear ill, even at the times she is vomiting, at the time of vomiting her stools are either normal or a a bit loose, there is loud gurgling noises in her tummy, she doesnt appear in pain, nor does her tummy seem to hurt when i touch it. this morning she vomited some yellow bile with a couple of fresh blood spots, but again she is bouncing around as normal. as soon as the vomiting starts i only give her water, then when it stops i give her rice and small amounts of chicken.

no pre existing medical conditions, she isnt on medication, she weighs 26k, no other symptoms and i once saw a vet who said it could be a food reaction, she was back to normal quickly after that, but it does keep occuring, but she is bouncy in herself, and 100% in between vomiting episodes, her diet usually is burns dried food, with a little cooked chicken now and again, the only other food she has is pedegree dentastix. following a vomiting spell i introduce boiled rice then her normal food gradually. the vomiting spells last a few days at a time, even with them you can see she is hungry and looking for food.
