Treating 6 to 9 month old large puppy for fleas

Treating 6 to 9 month old large puppy for fleas

In this age dog it is safe to treat for fleas. As long as you use a product for the correct weight dog. Frontline can be bought over the counter or from some pet shops. It is seemingly becoming less effective than it was as I see many dogs and cats which have been treated yet still get fleas.

Other more effective products such as Advocate will require a visit to your vet (but will be able to be got over the counter if the dog has been seen by your vet within the last year) as this is a prescription medication.

But, if you want to try Frontline, then 6-9 months of age is fine to use this on.
