Thank you for your question. My name is Dr. Stacy. I have been a small animal veterinarian for 12 years.

Raisins are a complicated potential toxin because some dogs have eatting a lot of them without getting sick, while others have developed kidney damage after eating only a small amount.

However, the lowest reported toxic dose is .11ounces per kilogram. If your dog weighs 10 pounds, that would be half an ounce of rasins. It would depend on the raisins but 3 raisins are unlikely to be half an ounce. Unless your puppy is very tiny, this is not likely a toxic dose.

I hope that helps, but if you need clarification, let me know

Thank you very much Dr. Stacey,

She is around 7 pounds but even so seems extremely well. She is a dog that eats all and anything. Three days ago, after her food she ate a beetle, slug and part of a euphorbia plant before we could catch her... she was sick all night.

I understand that you cannot guarantee anything but I am grateful for your reply.

Kind regards
