I am sorry to hear you are worried about your dog.
My name is ***** ***** a veterinarian, and will do my best to help.
Is she eating? Any vomiting?
Blood and mucus in the stool are signs of "colitis", inflammation of the lining of the colon. It can be caused by infection, parasites, eating something that disagreed with her, and reaction to a food ingredient.
she ate tonight was sick this mornig
If she ate, and kept her food down tonight, that is a good sign. If you look at her gums, are they a normal pink color?
If she were mine, I would microscopically examine a sample of her stool for parasites.
she's been on usual food
You could try an over the counter diarrhea medication, like Pepto Bismal or Imodium.
How much does she weigh?
You are welcome.
Do you have any more questions I can answer?
She could take half the recommended dose of Pepto Bismal or Imodium on the label for adults, once to twice daily.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
