My ten year old spayed bitch Yorky/***** ***** appears to have hot flushes and sweats across her abdomen. She has daily medication and monthly injections for allergies. I am told that bitches don't sweat but mine periodically does.

Yes, erythema (reddening) of the ventrum (underneath) is consistent with atopy (allergies to environmental allergens such as pollens, molds, dust, and dust mites, etc.). Sweating will be exacerbated by that erythema and is seen in all dogs because all dogs have sweat glands in their skin. If you feel that her episodes of erythema and sweating are disproportionately seen, her medication type and /or dosage should be re-evaluated.
