I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. May I have an update on your Chihuahua, please?

Which wormer was given to him? He's acting as if something very distasteful was licked but such an event shouldn't persist from Wednesday to now. Rubbing the face as you've described often indicates facial pruritis (itching) or pain seen with an allergic dermatitis due to atopy (allergies to environmental allergens) or food intolerance which would be more consistent with his hypersalivation.

Thank you. That product contains three drugs that provide excellent coverage of all of the nematodes (roundworm, hookworm, whipworm), tapeworm, and the protozoan Giardia. The ingredients rarely cause adverse effects (vomiting, drooling, diarrhea are possible, however) and allergic reactions can occur when many parasites die in the body. Perhaps such a reaction is causing his facial pruritis.
