I've noticed over the week every time she poos she has a red lump pertruding from her back passage, she has blood in her poo, like liver looking clots, last night she was bleeding from her back passage

Customer: Staffordshire bull terrier, 2yrs old
JA: Has the Staffordshire Bull Terrier seemed more or less thirsty since this started?
Customer: She always drinks alot
JA: Did the Staffordshire Bull Terrier eat anything unusual recently?
Customer: She eats other dogs poo she always has done
JA: What's the Staffordshire Bull Terrier's name?
Customer: Nelly
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know?
Customer: She never seems to gain weight, looks quite thin for a staffie

Hello, you are through to Dr Linda, a UK based vet
I'm sorry to hear this.
This is certainly something we need to look into and could be e.g. a prolapse or polyp.
Her failure to gain good weight and thirst could also indicate a medical issue.
The vet will examine her and may run some tests such as a blood test and stool analysis.
Treatment will depend on what is going on and may include a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatories.

Thank you for your reply, could not get her in the vets today, I've been told to ring at 8.30 am tomorrow and hopefully will be given an appointment.
