Hello, you are through to Dr Linda, a UK base vet.

I'm sorry to hear Puppies has not been well.

When did this start?

Does she have any known medical issues?

Is she still eating and being social?

Puppies' symptoms are vague and could have several causes including:

  • An infection

  • Pancreatitis (an inflammation of the pancreas)

  • A gut obstruction

  • A pyometra (uterus infection)

  • Unseen toxin ingestion

  • Etc

Given how unwell she is, I do think a vet visit is best as soon as she can be seen.

The vet will examine her and may run some tests such as a blood test or abdominal scan.

Treatment will depend on what is going on and may include e.g antibiotics and pain relief. She may also require fluids and an anti vomiting injection if she continues to be sick.

At home, try to tempt her with warm chicken and rice in small meals and hopefully she keeps this down. Continue to offer water and allow her to rest.

Thank you I was getting worried but thank u
Customer: replied 7 days ago.
I will ring vet in the morning
Customer: replied 7 days ago.
Can u tell my why she’s shaking
Expert:  Dr L Simmon replied 7 days ago.

Shaking can be due to anxiety, pain, a fever etc.

It is also something we can see with systemic infections and certain hormonal disorders such as Addison's disease.

Unfortunately, none of her symptoms are specific so without examining her and running some tests, we can't be sure what is going on.

Customer: replied 7 days ago.
Ok thank u
Expert:  Dr L Simmon replied 7 days ago.
No problem at all and take care.
Customer: replied 7 days ago.
She does shack sometimes when she is not well she’s has a habit of sitting in front of a blow heater
Expert:  Dr L Simmon replied 7 days ago.
If you have a digital rectal thermometer it would be useful to check her temperature.
If not, feeling her ears can give you a good idea of whether or not she is hot or cold.
