HI there One or 2 of my dogs have eaten half a raw potato? would you suggest taking them to the vet?

JA: When was this? Has the dog thrown up since then?
Customer: Dachshund
JA: What's the dog's name and age?
Customer: no within the last hour

it was a small jacket

Raw potatoes can cause vomiting and diarrhea when a large amount is ingested. In a 5 kg dog 1/2 a potato that size may cause some loose stool. You should not see any more severe than that and may see nothing at all.

do you suggest i take him to my vet? or wait to see if i see any signs?

I would just monitor him today. If there is no loose stool within the next 12 hours you should be in the clear.
