My puppy who is 10 weeks only keeps on acting like she’s going to throw up but doesn’t little like a cat when coughs up a hair ball wondering what is
Hi there, this is Dr. Linda, a UK based vet.

I'm sorry to hear this and understand your concern.

This could be a cough, gag or retch.

Is the pup eating, active and gaining weight?

Hi there, could you see my reply above?

How is your pup doing?

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
she is eating drinking water playing etc no issue she just stops and does it now and again .

I'm glad she is otherwise well, that's great.

Would a photo of the episodes be possible?

When did this start?

Customer: replied 6 days ago.
I will do a quick photo tomorrow morning when she does and send over . She’s done last few days we have only had her for 10 days

Sorry, when I typed photo I meant video. You should be able to upload one here, or to share it on a public site (such as YouTube) and post the link.

Oftentimes, what you are describing is a cough which is caused by a viral infection, but a video will help me rule other things out.

The main thing is that your pup is otherwise well and not having any trouble breathing or holding down food.

Ensure the air is well ventilated and free of dust, smoke and cooking fumes.

Hi there, how is  your puppy doing?

I do hope all is well and please let me know if there is anything else,

Take care,

Linda.
