No she has not been spayed and I noticed it last night

This is not. a polyp and could be e.g. a uterine prolapse (when the uterus has come out of the vagina) or vaginal hyperplasia (an overgrowth of vaginal tissue).

It is important she sees a vet today to make a diagnosis in person and as the tissue will need to be cleaned and lubricated. She may also need some antibiotic ointment.
