All his ancestor's have been fully health tested heart hips thyroid eyes (phpv)
Kaos has had all his tests done ...between 12months & 18 months ...

Yes, sometimes it's just 'bad luck' of the draw.

It may be that it was more of a traumatic incident than a genetic weakness or predisposition.
