Hello and welcome. My name is ***** ***** I have been in the dog field for 25 years. I am a Therapy Dog & AKC Evaluator/trainer/ as well as an assistance/service dog trainer, specializing in behavior. It will be my pleasure to help you today.

You will want to start training him in commands if you have not started already. Training the leave it command can help with the licking. I would also invest in dog puzzles to keep his mind a bit more occupied. Licking can be from stress or nervousness as well so the training and puzzles can help with this. In the mean time until training can begin, I would also invest in some grannicks bitter apple found in your pet store and spray your skin with this. Dogs do not usually like the smell or taste and this keeps them from licking.
