What is the dog barking at?

What commands does the dog know?

What have you tried so far?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Usually barks at cats and he doesn’t really know any commands as we had him of somebody. He is very disobedient. And we don’t really know what to try. We try to get him to stop barking but he doesn’t seem to listen and just ignore.

Thank you. If you just try to get him to stop by yelling no or quiet at the time he is barking it won't work. He has to be taught the difference between speak and quite so he knows they are commands.

Training him a firm leave it command can also help as when taught to 100% firm , it will mean to the dog to leave alone what it is that has his interest and put his attention back onto the owner by going to them.

There are also bark collars that will squirt water or citronella when the dog barks and there are barker breakers that can be placed inside the home that emit a high pitched tone after the dog barks for more than 3 times. Just a warning, humans can also hear the sound.

Blocking off the stimuli can also help. If she is seeing cats out of the window then put half shades up that go in the middle of the window and can be pulled to cover the top of the window or the bottom of the window.
