From Home, press the Menu button, and then select Settings. You will see the current software version at the bottom of the screen.
What is the software version?
Do you see the Kindle under Computer (next to the C drive)?
Is it connected to your computer and turned on?
Have you checked under Computer? (next to the C drive)
Have you tried a new cable? or different USB port?
In that case, you will need to contact Amazon directly. Please call them at 1 (888) 280-4331 and let them know that the Kindle is not working using multiple cords and computers.
