Customer Question

Do Maxell still make an AUDIO cassette tape rewinder - for rewinding a tape whilst listening to another one - or for "loosening up" a tape that hasn't been used for a while?
Preferable for sale in the UK.

Hello, my name isXXXXX'll be happy to assist you,

Please allow me to ask, should it be tape rewinder or any alternative thing to rewinde the tape?
This info will help me to suggest some thing.

Battery operated would be ideal. I had one years ago but can no longer find it! Same size and shape of a cassette. You placed the cassette on it and pressed the button and it got rewound, then turn it over and rewind the other way.

I also had a manual one (also since lost!) This had a bunch of gears in a circular housing with a handle on it. You inserted it into the hub of the cassette and turned the handle. I seem to remember that one was made by Tandy.

Thanks for the reply Ken,
I'm sorry, there no audio cassette rewinder available that operates on batteries.
Just a suggestion, how about stand alone audio cassette deck operated by AC supply or Portable Cassette recorder that operates on battery and can be used just to rewind the tapes?
Please post back does it surve the purpose?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Not really.

The Maxell ew 340 was more what I had in mind.

I could send you an image of it if I could fathom out how to do it!

I'm sorry Ken, Maxell EW-340 is no longer available, please allow me to opt out that will open the question to other online experts and might some one has helpful info about required rewinder.
Thank you.

This is what it looks like.

Thanks for the image link, I saw it before that is why suggested Portable Cassette Player / Recorder that works on battery and can rewind / forward audio tape easily and its size may be little larger than EW-340
Have you checked the link I sent in my previous post? here is it again, it has many portable cassette players image and info.

Please post back do you like any of them?
