Hello, my name isXXXXX be happy to assist you.
Sorry for delayed reply.
Please allow me to ask you a few questions to diagnose the problem.

- Can you please get the model number off of sound bar to look into related manuals for possible cause of issue?
- Have you tried to unplug sound bar power cord from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, replug and check?

Please post back how it worked.

Model type, HT-X810 disconnected power and still no different
Thanks Paul for model info.

- How old is this unit and how long it have had the problem?
- Does it playback disc normally as sliding door is stuck open?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
The unit is 4 years old and the problem only started last week. The unit will not play a cd/DVD when the door is open
Thanks Paul for the info.

- Does unit accept / load a disc?
- Do you hear any gear or motor noise when press Play button to shut the door?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.
The unit will accept a disc, and after you insert the disc you can hear the motor trying to close the door but it's as if the door is jammed
Hi Paul,

It seems door mechanism isn't working properly and possible cause could be broken lever or stuck gear inside or it could be some thing misaligned that would make it an easy repair.

I would recommend to shake door a little that might help to close it down.

I can provide you disassemble procedure file from related service manual that would help to take apart unit but entire unit will take apart to access to door mechanism.

Please post back if you would like to give it a shot.

Yes I will try to fix if you can provide the relavent detail to strip the unit, thanks
Hi Paul,

Please check following link to download disassemble procedure pdf file that will help you to access to door mechanism to see any thing damaged or its minor issue of misalignment.

I trust my input will help you out. Please feel free to respond if you have any additional questions.
A positive rating to answer would be greatly appreciated!
