Customer Question

I have a Samsung GT-S7562 running Android 4.0.4. I enjoy the phone but feel the voice quality is disappointing. Are there any adjustments / modifications that I can use to improve voice quality?

Hi and welcome to Just Answer, a Question and Answer Company. My name is Carl and I will be assisting you today.

What type of voice quality issue what you say you're having exactly? There aren't any audio adjustments in the Android Software other than volume but the quality should always be clear unless something is wrong with the speaker itself. Do you have quality issues using the Speakerphone vs the ear speaker?

Voice quality is generally poor whether with hands free (standard samsung earpiece) or Jabra wireless noisy environments the caller cannot discern the voice at all. I have read elsewhere that it may be possible to enable a different vodec via a ##PROGRAMME routine. Does this apply to this model of Samsung? Alternatively is there a noise suppression function on Android that I can enable.many thanks.

I know what you're talking about and that's just for the Droid. It also sometimes helps but not for everybody.

There are some Bluetooth Ear Pieces that offer Noise Cancellation such as Plantronics. There is an app for noise suppression but it has horrible reviews and wouldn't bother with it.
