Can a us model roomba 4210 discovery vacuum be connected to uk power supply by simple means such as a reasonably cheap converter and not stripping and modifying the machine? If so how?.

Charge using standard U.S. (120V AC) .
Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to charge this device.
Do not use a charger with a damaged cord or plug.
Charge indoors only.
Roomba’s power supply may be protected with a surge protector in the event of severe
electrical storms.
Never handle chargers with wet hands.
Always disconnect Roomba from the charger before cleaning.

The transformer shown says " not suitable for continuous use" as the discovery self parks when needing recharging it means that the transformer will be in" continuous use" . Your further comments please.
Okay, the Roomba is not plugged in during use or when it self parks. It has rechargeable batteries, you will need to charge it once a week. I recommend charging overnight once a week. Just plug it in when you go to bed and unplug when you get up.

The whole reason for the self parking is. To. Automatically commence the recharging process as it beds itself on two contact points and sits there until taken out for further use
Okay, I checked on that for you with the Roomba and Transformer. The transformer can remain plugged as long as there is not a continued use and the Roomba base only draws current during the charge and then shuts off the charge when full, so this should work fine for you.

The specification for the step down transformer recommended says not to be used for one hour at stome.roomba say a new battery must be on continuous charge for 16 hours so your present solution would appear unworkable. .
Also could not be left on overnight without considerable risk. Any more solutions?.
Okay, I understand your concern with the Transformer. Here is a link to a transformer that has an internal safety cutout device that will cut the unit off.
