I have a Huawei accend y300 phone that works perfectly but

Customer Question

I have a Huawei accend y300 phone that works perfectly but I am having an intermittent problem with the ehatsapp app.Sometimes when someone sends me a voice whatsapp message I don't receive a notifocation tone and when I open the app up on the senders page the message is there but not fully downloaded, there is a downward pointing arrow over a line and when I press it the message downloads and I can play it.This is very frustrating not receiving a notification tone every time, I have checked all settings and reinstalled the app twice, do you have a fix?

Hello. My name is Michael. I can help you with your question. Since this is a message that isn't "pushed" to your device )and sometimes if it is), your connection will have timed out before the next message is pushed. If you are tethering ronthe device and running WhatsApp on a connected device, you may have to have the device to send a "keep alive" to keep the connection open so your app can check the message. If it is directly on your ohone,, look for a similar keep alive option to stay connected. This happens more often with tethered devices or devices connected through the phone as a hotspot but it can happen also on the device itself.

Sorry but I am not technical and don't understand your answer, the phone is connected to the internet through a normal household modem and roaming via my phone service provider when I leave home, in simple terms what do I need to do? Best regards

Can you please tell me what you mean by a normal household modem? Is this a dialup internet connection, cable internet, etc? Is the app on you phone?

Dear XXXXX, as l wasn't happy with the delay in getting your reply to my message and also as your first response was far too technical for a layman like me l decided to request a full refund of my £22-00 fee this was done today 1-4-14 at 16-10 GMT, I needed simple .instructions on what to do.l ask for this refund in line with your advertised promise, for the record my

modem is WiFi and the WhatsApp is on my smart phone, please confirm that l will get my full refund best regards XXXXX XXXXX await your reply.

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying that you have asked for a refund but are expecting that I will continue helping you with your question?
