Sony tv KDL32W706B

Panasonic Blue ray DMR-PWT530EB

The Panasonic is no problem as I have identified where the sensor is so have fitted the magic eye above it.

It is just how I plug it into the tv

I'm not sure what magic eye you are referring here.
Can you please elaborate it?
I thought the problem is connection between TV and Recorder.

No, the magic eye I am referring to is one used to operate a unit that is inside a closed cupboard. It allows signals to be passed to the unit through the TV sensor.

This same magic eye was fitted to my previous Sony television without problem but I am unsure how to fit it. It has a jack to plug it in and the only place it appears to fit is the one for headphones. However, if I plug it in there I get no wound on the tv.

OK, what is the label of jack on Recorder that you plugged the magic-eye pin?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

re. my last message, for wound read 'sound'.

I think we are at cross purposes here. The eye does not plug into the recorder at all. It sits on the top of the box with the infra red eye in line with the recorder's sensor.

The eye has a thin cable from it with the jack on the other end to fit into the tv. There is nothing labelled.

ah OK, thats what confusing me, now all is set.

Unfortunately this TV doesn't have such jack for magic-eye purpose, we need to relocate the Recorder (out of closed cupboard) to get it operated through its remote control.

Thank you.
