My Panasonic TV TX-P42G10B has no picture and flashes 14 times. What should I do
Hello, my name is***** be happy to assist you.
Please allow me to ask you a few questions to diagnose the problem.

- How old is the TV and how long it have had the problem?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
TV about 4/5 years old. Problem occurred last night
Thanks for the info,
Are you sure the power light is flashing 14 times, pauses and repeats?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I'm sorry there is no info available for 14 times flashing error code for this model so I'll opt out to open the question to other online Pro's to have a look at it.
Please do not reply this message and hopefully some one will respond you soon.

Thank you.

I understand it's infa-red problem. But what do I need to do to rectify it?
Is it 3D TV?

Because the 14 times flashing code related to infrared emitter issue which is part of 3D capable TV to send infrared signals to 3D glasses.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
No. Not 3D
That is the reason I asked to confirm it is 14 times flashing error code.
This TV doesn't have infrared emitter board inside so very odd to have such error code.

How long TV left unplugged from wall socket?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Its more than enough time to reset TV and should have resolve the issue if it was firmware glitch or wrong setting problem.
There is K Board in TV located at lower front that has remote sensor, please check following link to view the board image that will help to locate it in TV...

This K board might cause the 14 error flashing code and next possible culprit is A Board (the one where all input jacks are located) where main processor chip is mounted which can cause this amazing 14 time flashing error code.
Swapping the K or A board will confirm this diagnosis.

I'm sorry there is no easy or quick fix for this problem and it is definitely hardware failure that needs defective board replacement to resolve the issue.
I trust my input will help you out. Please feel free to respond if you have any additional questions.
