- Is the recorder connected to TV through HDMI cable?
- Does recorder logo screen appear on TV when power it up?

Thanks Philip for the info.
Have you tried to unplug recorder and TV power cords from wall socket for 10 minutes to reset, replug and check?
If not yet, can you try it now and reply back the result?

Done it thank you. I had turned off the Panasonic, but not the TV
