My ipad has jammed on an itunes sign and a charger sign. I was trying to download a normal settings update. I have tried rebooting but the same signs come up. Help please!
My name is***** will assist you.
I am sorry to hear that you are having this issue.
You will need a computer with iTunes software from Apple installed on it. Then please follow these steps,
Connect the USB cable to the iPad but leave the other end of the cable disconnected from your computer's USB port.
press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time.
When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, connect the USB cable to the computer. The device should turn on.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
Then use iTunes to restore the iPad.

I still just get the iTunes small icon and the charger sign

Okay, did the iTunes screen on your computer give you the option to restore?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

No - it is just a small 1cm iTunes icon and a 3" USB charger picture

Okay, when you follow the steps and connect to your computer the computer screen will have the restore option.

Nothing comes up on my computer iTunes screen other than music etc

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I can't find a restore option - I am obviously missing something. I never use iTunes on my laptop.

Okay, sometimes you have to keep trying, or maybe a little different method. Try this next...Plug your iPhone into your computer.
Then turn off the iPhone.
Now hold the Power button seconds.
Then press and hold the Home button without releasing the Power button seconds.
Then release the Power Button but keep holding the Home button
Keep holding the Home button until you are alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.

I presume you mean my ipad, not iPhone, I have tried it but a still with the same two signs. I think I will have to take it into the apple store tomorrow. Many thanks efforts - I am probably being a dumbo.

okay,This is caused by a glitch in the software and the iPad needs to restore. It will work normally after the restore.
Please let me know if you need any other assistance.
