Hi there
I have a NV-R10B VHS movie camera which I have had from new.
I recently got it out to play some old tapes and it is very nosy in playback, with a lot of interference on the screen. I think the tape heads may need cleaning and would appreciate your advice?
Thank you for your question, my name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you.

You will need to clean the heads as this is the most common cause, and you do this with a cleaning tape. The cleaning tapes are hard to get considering its age. But call 01636 626 895 which is for Newark Video Services as they have a large range of the cleaning tapes and you should be able to source one from there.
Let me know how you go please.

Thanks for this - unfortunately Newark Video Services has not existed since 2009 - I tried them before asking you!

Any other suggestions or advice how I can clean heads manually rather than with cleaning tapes?

ok, you wont be able to do it yourself, but do you have a VCR there?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no, I'm afraid not.

Guessing that ebay or similar for vhs-c cleaning tapes is my best move?

I got one for you here

But the head may be no good considering the age, so was going to suggest an adapter for the VCR such as this as I am concerned the actual head is faulting.
But if you do not have a VCR you will need to get the cleaning tape I advise on the first link.
