Canon Pixma MX475

Thank you
Error 5100 is a carriage error
First, remove the ink cartridges, power off the printer, wait 5 minutes, power on the printer then reset the cartridges
Tell me if you still then get the error please Maureen
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Still getting the message

Thank you
The next step is to reset the Ink Absorber
To do this
Make sure the printer is turned off.
Press and hold the Resume button .
Whilst it is held down, hold down the Power button. The green led light should come on.
Keep the Power button held down. Release the Resume button and then press it twice. The light should go amber, then green again.
Release the Power button.
Press the Resume button four times and then press the Power button straight after to confirm the selected action (Reset Counter Absorber).
Turn off the printer and then turn it on again
Let me know the results please

I watched the video, but can't do anything because none of the buttons work while I'm still getting the error message. I can't operate the tools button.

Thanks, ***** ***** the problem
It is the printhead that has faulted Maureen.
We have ruled out all other causes for this issue.
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the printer to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the repair will be done at no cost to you.
