Hello, my name is***** be happy to assist you.
Please allow me to ask you a few questions to diagnose the problem.
- Can you please get me the model number off of your TV?
- How old it is and how long it have had the problem?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

hi sorry for late response but been at work, its about 3 years old, model number 32882HDLCD. we moved house end off last year and put the tv in the front room, in the corner on the street side, which is on a busy main road.

many thanks

Thanks for the info.
How old is the TV and how long it have had the problem?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

its about 3 years old and problem started 3 months ago when I placed it in front room, worked fine in back bedroom

Thanks Rose for the info.
- Does power light on TV stay solid or blink when turn it on?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it blinks between the blue light and the orange one then stays solid orange

OK, was there any storm in area that might caused this problem in TV?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no, but think next door have something that interfers as I have just had tv on and the set was switching on and off, then the volume started to go up on its own, the display menu came up and the options were being selected on its own!

This is odd and electric interference could be a cause of this issue, is it possible for you to take the TV somewhere else in house and turn it On to see how it works?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

will do after dinner, let you know later

Sure, please take your time.
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

have moved the tv to another area in the room, so far so good, will keep you posted thanks

Sounds good Rose, so it was electric interference causing the problem in TV and it is working fine on new location (away from electric distortion area).
Please reply back with the result and if problem resolved then a positive rating to answer would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
