Can you unplug the TV from the power, then hold the power button down for 60 seconds and release.
Then after 10 minutes, connect the power and tell me if it now turns on please.
Let me know the results please

Still no picture - only sound.

ok, but that was not 10 minutes, not being difficult but you need to leave it unplugged for 10 minutes, then plug it in so all residue power is removed.
Can you do this please?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Sorry - missed the 10 minutes bit. Will do it again!

No problem! Just don't want to skip any steps.
Will be here waiting.

No, still the same. :(

Thanks, ***** ***** the issue
It is the backlight that has faulted and will need replacing
I am really sorry about this and you are going to have to return the TV to have this replaced. It will be covered by the warranty if this has not expired, and the replacement will be done at no cost to you. If the warranty has expired, you can have this repaired, as the repair is not a large operation and the cost is not too expensive.
I am really sorry about this, and if you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.
And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hope it's not too late to say thank you. Could a local TV engineer replace the backlight do you think?

Yes they could, its a pretty easy thing to fix
And thank you
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

OK - will try that. Thanks again. Bye.
