My smart tv will not connect to the router. It says no gateway.

my smart tv will not connect to the router. It says no gateway. I called the shop they said its a BT problem. BT has checked the router and as all other devices connect no problem they say its the tv so I am at my wits end!

First, whats the make and model of your TV and wifi router?

I do not know what you have been doing with the trouble shooting so want to start everything over again please by resetting.
First, to reset the router, on the back of the router is a reset button. Hold this in (you will need a paperclip) and push the reset button in for 10 seconds, then release.
Once done, then on the TV,
Display the menu and select [Setup]
2 Select [System Menu]
System Menu Access
3 Select [Shipping Condition]
Let the TV reset and when it has go through the setup procedure and part of this is connecting to the wifi network.
Tell me if it then connects and functions please Joy.
