Customer Question

I have a Philips Soundmachine AZ1880 (a little over a year old). All the front panel controls appear to respond correctly as indicated in the visual display but the actual audio output fails to appear and this end of the circuit is virtually dead. My urge is to remove the circuit board from the outer case and investigate. However, the owners handbook state that the circuit boards should never be removed from the outer case. this warning might have been given because
(a) the circuit is irreparable
(b) a jig might be necessary to refit the circuit board back in to case
Any suggestions?
