We have a Panasonic DMR-EX99VEBK 250 GB HDD DVD/VHS recorder which has an intermittent but annoying fault. When being switched on it quite often fails to start but closes the screen with a message stating it is resetting itself. This can take up to a minute before it starts normally.
This fault can occur two or even three times a day.
What can you do for us?

Can you please remove the power to the player (so unplug it from the power socket).
Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the player, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

The fault is only when switching on the unit. It's very erratic.
