Intermittent loss of sound when tuned to some HD channels? Returns when change channel and then back. Set 3yrs old 40 inch smart TV only started this problem 2/3 weeks ago. Picture and sound otherwise perfect. Any answers? David C.

Only on Some HD channels all via antenna are effected The non HD seems to work fine so do does the built in iplayer bbc netflix( broadband) and dvd player etc.
Thanks for the info - Have you tried to unplug TV power cord from wall outlet for 10 minutes to reset, replug back in and run auto tuning in TV menu to scan channels?If not yet, can you try it now and reply back with the result?

Could it be 4G interference? As I said only started 2 weeks ago.

Been on test for several hour sound intermittent twice on 2 different HD channels.

By the way did disconnect tv for some time before electronically retuning.
There are no new updates for this TV. Could it be a firmware problem?
Yes, it could be firmware problem too, does TV display correct picture of those HD channels where sound goes off?

Everything runs perfectly apart from HD channels 1,2,3,4,....which intermittently lose sound and can be regained by flicking to any other channel momentarily. Checked antenna and our other flat screen TV is OK. Any more ideas?
OK, it seems TV tuner isn't processing HD channel signals for some reason, I would try to update TV firmware (internal software), please go to following Samsung link, download Firmware Upgrade File (USB type) and follow the instructions mentioned on Upgrade Guide pdf file available on same page.. reply back with the result and if problem resolved then a positive rating to answer would be highly appreciated.Thanks.
