CLP 315W The'ready' light is flashing red and I cant clear it. What am I doing wrong or not doing at all ?

Can you please remove the power to the printer (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the printer, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

ok, but how long have you left it with no power? so not off, but power cable disconnected?

Hi Richard, reconnected and showed green during 'check' then flashing red. The yellow toner is also showing red. Will it operate as B/W with a toner empty?

It has printed a colour test page

It should operate with B?W empty

Try more printing and tell me if it is ok plase

Is the flashing red light indicating a toner is empty?

yes, it may be causing it, can you replace it?

Not at this time, I don't have one

The printer is a few years old but only had two changes of Black toner. The colour toners are original. Many thanks for your assistance, I'll obtain a new toner and try again.
