Epson XP405 - kitchen paper tissue slided accidentally

This answer was rated:

Epson XP405 - kitchen paper tissue slided accidentally through the paper rack and me not being aware press the print button. The kitchen paper was taken in stuck half of it under the rolling bar. Message is Error. I tried to pull out the paper but it was partly torn and the rest still stuck in. Either I throw the printer away or somehow I get the paper out.
it a cheap printer but very convenient for documentary work thanks to the wi-fi...
What could I do?....
Any suggestion much appreciated....
Many thanks in advance!
Tina G.

Hi Tina,

Thank you for using just answer my name is ***** ***** I will help with your question. I am afraid but you will need to remove all the paper, if you turn the printer off and open the lid where the ink cartridges are you could try turning the roller by hand or you may have better access to pick the paper out. It is a messy job as there is often ink around the inside of the printer I would suggest some rubber gloves as the ink is difficult to remove from your hands.

I have in the past used guitar plectrums or thin card board and pushed them through the paper roller to remove the blockages. It may be a case of trial and error to find something that is thin enough and strong enough to push through and remove the blockage.

Please let me know how you get on and if you need more advice please contact me.

Thank you, ***** ***** your follow up and sorry for being so late, the daily trivialities take most of the time...
No I hadn't because it is stuck in the very right hand side and my efforts with various means to move it end up in small pieces of the tissue to come out while the thickest part of it is taken under the (printing) head I think. Even worse I cannot even see properly... Never mind, I'll take it to PC world and see if it's worth (given that they can) doing something...
I'll keep you informed!
Kind regards
