Hi William. Welcome to justanswer.

Which printer are you using?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Kodak ESP C315

Open the printer access door.

If the ink cartridges and printhead are already in the printer, remove them, then reinstall them.

  1. Remove the color and black ink cartridges.
  2. Remove the existing printhead by lifting the latch in the center of the carriage.
  3. Close the printer access door.

Now install them:

  1. Place the printhead in the carriage.
  2. Push firmly against the target label of the printhead until you hear a loud snap.
  3. Install the color and black ink cartridges.
  4. Close the printer access door.

Now check if the error is still present

still got the problem. nathan

Since the problem is still there I am sorry to say, you indeed are going to require a new part. I know this is not what you want to here but I want to make sure I am honest with the information I provide you. You would need to replace the print head in order to fix this issue.

I wish there was another way but with everything you have posted I am confident this is the problem with your machine. The reason for this is the print head which is the part of the printer that puts ink from the cartridges onto the page. Over time these parts deteriorate and need to be replaced, excess use or using generic inks can also cause this.

A new print head normally costs between $40 and $75. It would take about 30 minutes to an hour for a tech to replace it at their shop rate. Most Shops charge between $65 and $75 per hour. You can also get a new print head from here: Click Here .

Buying a new printer will be a better option then getting the printhead repaired
