Pioneer VSX LX52 had a power surge in the house, now when plugged back in the only life it shows is a blinking MCACC advanced icon on the front of the unit.

Hi James,
My name is***** will try my best to help you with your question.

The blinking MCACC indicates either "protection mode" due to a speaker or wire short OR an internal part failure.

First, try a system reset with the speakers disconnected:

1) switch receiver into standby
2) while holding down enter on the front panel, press 'standby/on'
3) the receiver shows Reset <no>
4) select 'reset' using the 'preset left/right arrows'
5) press enter. The display should show 'reset? OK'
6) press enter to confirm.

If that doesn't work then there is an internal fault which will require fixing at an electronics repair store.

Kindly rate my service 5 stars at the top of your question page if my answer helped so I am rewarded for my time; tips appreciated :)
