I have a BT Vision box and over the last couple of weeks it

Hi, I have a BT Vision box and over the last couple of weeks it has slowed down and now sometimes takes 3/4 minutes to change channels. I don't know whether it is the Vision box (through which the TV is controlled) or the TV itself.
I have retuned the TV, through the Vision box but this has not solved the problem.

Just for your further information, my TV is a Toshiba and once the Vision box works the picture is perfect.

Can you please remove the power to the TV and the vision box (so unplug it from the power socket).

Then wait 10 minutes, connect the power again to the vision box, wait 5 minutes then the TV, turn it on and tell me please if it is now operating correctly.

I have done all your suggestions but the system has still not improved.

ok, can you do the following please

  1. Go to the main BT TV menu by pressing the 'BT Vision' button on your remote.
  2. From the main menu, go to Help & Settings, scroll down to Settings then select System Information
  3. In 'System Information', highlight and select Factory Reset

Then once it is setup again, tell me how it now functions please.

I have done the Factory Reset and guess what - All seems fixed, great.
Thanks for giving me the confidence. It is great to have someone available to "talk" me through various actions. I am the wrong age to have such confidence with all the current technology.
