i have a panasonic viera TV type TX-32LZD 80.i have bought an audio system type SC-HTB485. The TV has HDM1 and HDM2 sockets but no ARC letters after the letters and numerals. The manual suggests that in that case both HDM sockets on the TV the should be used to connect to the sound board. However one is already in use for the cable from the Sky box.How can i connect the sound system and the TV together and what type of cable connectors are necessary?
Thanks Errol Robinson.

it does

Nice, please connect Sky box HDMI Out into HDMI In of sound system, connect HDMI Out of sound system in HDMI-1 Input of TV, select HDMI-1 input in TV and select HDMI In of sound system with its remote to get Sky box picture on TV and sound through sound system.

For DVD, please connect optical cable between Digital Out of DVD and Digital In of sound system, you would need to select Digital Input with sound system remote when need to watch DVD disc to get sound through sound system where as need to change video input in TV as usual to get DVD player picture on TV.

There is another way that is bit simple. Plug Optical Cable in Digital Out port at back of TV and hook it in Digital Input of sound system, select Digital input in sound system with its remote to get sound whatever is being played/ watched on TV. I hope these info will help. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask. If you're satisfied, please rate me a 5-star at the top of your page.
