I bought some AA type batteries, but I can't remember when

Customer Question

I bought some AA type batteries, but I can't remember when but I thought they should have lasted anyway. It was a box of 24 two boxes of 12. I have today tested them because I tried to replace the batteries into my digital camera and the only message I could get when trying to use them was " that I needed new batteries on all of them. Today I have tested them all on a battery tester and all I got was no charge or very little left to enable you to use it so why? because I thought they should last no matter how old they were. So what is happening to me with these batteries I am so confused by them n. I look forward to hearing from you. Linda Slater
